WHAT DOES YOUR BROWSER HISTORY SAY ABOUT YOU?

“PORNOGRAPHY IS LITERATURE DESIGNED TO BE READ WITH ONE HAND” - ANGELA LAMBERT

DO YOU WATCH PORN?

I BET YOU DO.

OR YOU HAVE.

OR YOU WILL.

OR YOU WANT TO.

WHAT DOES YOUR BROWSER HISTORY SAY ABOUT YOU?

TISSUE is a devised, theatrical investigation into the effects of pornography on the lives of young Australians.

Our global interconnectedness allows a torrent of both media and judgement to rain down on us, whilst cultures of shame and embarrassment prevent any healthy discourse. TISSUE will explore the differences between what we've been told we should want and what we really crave, between shame and privacy, and between intimacy and entertainment.

From the shared vision of two recent graduates from WAAPA’s Bachelor of Performing Arts course comes a bold new work with a spotlight pointed right at your browser history.

LITTLE SHOUT

PRAISE FOR TISSUE

"Twenty minutes or so into Samantha Maclean and Timothy Green’s slick, erotically-charged Tissue, I stopped taking reviewer’s notes. My last scribble, a not particularly perceptive “Oh Boy! Wowee!”, was testament to both the sheer quantity of its action, and the dazzling way it had been delivered."

"Biagioni again shows why she's one of our most compelling actors"

"The show is technically near-perfect; Maclean and Green have coached their cast extraordinarily well"

David Zampatti, The West Australian,

November 2016

"Tissue is brilliant."

Scott-Patrick Mitchell, OUTInPerth

"Compelling and confronting and true...Ryan and Melvin give textured, nuanced performances"
